Justine Florence is a choreographer, writer, and performance artist. She received her B.A. in Dance and Written Arts from Bard College in 2024, and now resides in Queens, New York. As a dance maker, Justine is interested in deconstructing kinesthetic experience, believing in the body’s ingrained knowledge and impulsive nature. With a choreographic process rooted in improvisation, her work aims to contain and preserve a more organic, spontaneous state of physicality.

As both a choreographer and performer, Justine values work that is experimental and multimedium. Beyond her studies in dance and writing, she is influenced by her training in experimental theater and voice, and enjoys choreographing in conversation with text, field recording, and film. In the past she has collaborated with musicians to compose live music for dance, along with visual artists and filmmakers to develop durational work specifically for installation.

Her work has been shown at the Fisher Center for Performing Arts, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY; UBS Gallery, Red Hook, NY; and the Centre National de la Danse, Pantin, France, as part of Camping's School Marathon.
